Michael's Furniture Review -Audra from Los Angeles

"I had a great experience here. I did have about 3 people ask if I needed help. They all left me alone when I told them I was deciding and just wanted to take my time. I got a cold water when I first walked in the door, which was much appreciated on the rather humid, hot day. They checked up on me without being pushy. I did not get any sales pitches other than them pointing out other couches in the same price range and letting me know what might came in other colors. The selection was fantastic and the prices were great. Once I told them I had made my choice, the check out process was quick and easy, They helped me keep the price low and sent me on my way with another color water bottle. They were willing to work with me to get my couch delivered before twelve the next day so I could make an interview. They called around 11 the next day and ten minutes later where here to deliver the couch. Everything went smoothly and the couch came with two free throw pillows. Overall, it was one of the most painless furniture buying experiences I have encountered."

"I was recently in the market for a new bedroom suite. The cheap IKEA stuff just wasn't cutting it anymore... time for some grown-up furniture. ;-)

A co-worker suggested I at least stop by Michael's to view their enormous warehouse of merchandise. She boasted that they have something for everyone, plus they are a family owned business, which if you know me then you know that is something I love. She also mentioned that their prices are unbeatable and that they are willing to negotiate to make a sale. Sooooo we ventured to the Valley one sunny Saturday to see what Michael's is all about.

Getting there was a little tricky, but we found it. To our surprise the pink bunny and the mattress man in their ad were both there to greet us as we browsed their huge selection. Yes, it is true... HUGE selection. After much browsing we had our eye on a mid-color wood grain bed set that ran $1,300 for 3 pieces. This was a little out of our price range due to the fact that we had just spent a ton of money on moving expenses. We were able to talk them down to $1,100 and the deal was done. It was true... they were really willing to negotiate to make the sale and boy were we happy about this. We were able to get a bed frame, dresser and night stand all within our price range. I was one happy camper. The only down side to our experience came a few weeks later when our merchandise was ready to be delivered. We came to find out that our night stand was currently out of stock at their warehouse. Bummer. BUT it would be available around 3 weeks later - problem solved!

All in all we had a good experience here - we left with what we came for and are happy with the final product."

"So I literally shopped everywhere in town, from shi-shi furniture stores to Living Spaces before going to Michael's on a suggestion of my friend.  I was truly impressed!  It was so tough to decide because they have pieces that I wanted from other manufacturers including Ashley for nearly half the price with no bargaining.  They gave us free food and drinks while we shopped and really made me feel at home; no pressure or sleazy salesman stuff.  When I found my couch, they gave me two free pillows of my choice.  I realized last minute after my girlfriend yelled at me that the pillows I chose were not matching.  Their customer service was so amazing that they replaced the pillows and custom ordered a pair that my girlfriend approved of.  I don't know how to thank them enough! And when you say that about a store, you know it's worth a five star review.  Do yourself a favor shop around - but end up at Michaels Furniture because I know you will end up buying from them at a price you can't beat and service that is second to none."

"My wife and I have been looking for a sectional, we bought a couch and love seat 14 years ago from Michael's and they have been a wonderful durable purchase. So we went back and they had exactly what we were looking for and the owner himself helped us. He was very helpful and honest with us and also helped with color selection on the pillows. We will tell all our family and friends about Michael's like we did before, it's nice to know there are still well ran family businesses that truly care about customer satisfaction that's why he has been in business 35 years."

"This place is awesome. I've purchased my son's bedroom set, our office desk and recently purchased an amazing mattress from them. Each time I was asked several times by employees passing by if I needed help finding anything. There was no pressure, just good sales people. If you EXPECT to get left alone while shopping for furniture then go to Craigslist!

Two weeks ago I went into Michael's to find a mattress. I was shown several displays, some big expensive name brands and some middle market. I laid down on all of them while being explained the coil construction. There was no pressure to buy the expensive one, in fact the sales person stressed that he in fact slept on another model.

I ended up purchasing a fairly firm Diamond Spinalpedic model. He gave me a great price, delivered it the next day, and hauled away my old mattress.

I was very happy, all three purchases went fantastically... and I'd recommend this place to all of my friends and family."

"After doing a lot of research online, I narrowed my furniture store choices down to Living Spaces and Michael's. I decided to go to Michael's first, mostly because they had a larger selection of couches in my price range. If that didn't work out, I thought I'd go to Living Spaces, which is close by.

I didn't end up going to Living Spaces, because I had a good experience at Michael's. They had a huge selection and I spent a lot of time wandering around and looking at different sofas. I think at least four different salespeople offered their assistance while I was looking. They all asked if I needed any help at least twice. They were very nice but not at all pushy. I also appreciated that all of the prices were clearly labeled. I had visited some furniture stores closer to where I live, but was kind of worried when I didn't see any prices posted.

Anyway, it turns out the hardest part of the whole process was just deciding on which couch I wanted. After that, the "check out" process went quickly. They waived the sales tax, which saved me about $40. The couch I wanted was in stock, so they were able to deliver it the next day. The woman advised me to call that evening to find out the delivery time frame for the next day. But I didn't even have to call. Someone called me first. They said they would come the next day between noon and 4 p.m.

The next day, the delivery guy called around 12:30 or 12:45. Then they arrived soon after, and I was truly impressed with how professional and quick they were. It was so fast and painless. We live on a third floor walk-up, so I was concerned about being charged extra for delivery or with difficulty coming up the stairs... but everything went just fine. It was pretty amazing.

The couch is in perfect condition, exactly what I wanted and what I expected. I was very pleased with my whole experience. I can't speak for anyone else, of course, but my experience with this store was terrific. I would definitely buy from them again. The prices are great, delivery was very reasonable ($69) and everything was very straight forward and professional.
